In November 2000, a federally funded drug task force raid arrested
two women and 15% of the young African American men in Hearne, Texas.
Acting on behalf of Regina Kelly, a single African American mother of
four, the American Civil Liberties Union filed a class action lawsuit
charging racial discrimination. The case was known as Regina Kelly
vs. John Pascal. This film is Regina's story.
Josh Beckett - Caucasian, 28-35 years old, Assistant District
Attorney from Texas, either freckled face, eager puppy assistant. Or
an older guy who could care less about any of it. Works approximately
1 weeks starting around October 10th.
David Hansen - Caucasian, Mid- to late 20's. Another young Texas
lawyer setting a trap for Regina Kelly. Works approximately 1 week
starting approximately October 10th.
Leona - Caucasian woman, Mid-40's, Moore's wife. Possesses an easy
warmth. Is terminally ill but clearly has a loving relationship with
her husband while suffering from chemo side effects. Works
approximately 1 week.
Amy Pascal - Caucasian woman, early 20's. John Pascal's daughter.
Works 1 day.
