2009 African American History Parade Celebration

Shreveport, LA 71101 The 21st annual African American Parade starts at 11 a.m. The grandstand will be in front of the Court House on Texas Street.
The parade will be covered live on KPXJ-CW21

Following the parade there will be a Battle of the Bands and a talent show at the Municipal Auditorium, 705 Elvis Presley Avenue, Shreveport.

Perfectly Paired is a group exhibition that features the work of four artist couples, Don and Shirlene Alexander, Bob and Judy Horne, Robert Trudeau and Talbot Hopkins Trudeau and Bob and Linda T. Snider Ward.

Shreveport, LA 71104 The spirit of the Globe Theater will live on at Centenary College when the American Shakespeare Center on Tour performs three of William Shakespeare's most enduring plays.

The traveling troupe will perform The Comedy of Errors, Hamlet, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. The performances will take place in the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse Feb. 10 through 14 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students, and can be purchased at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse.
