Join us Sunday, July 6 at 4:00 PM for a special presentation of the celebrated film The Color Purple, featuring special guest Margaret Avery (whose acclaimed portrayal of “Shug” earned her an Oscar nomination). Avery will participate in a Q&A following the film. The Q&A is part of the Scene Screened series, a monthly movie dialogue program co-sponsored by The Times and the Robinson Film Center.
Tickets to this special screening go on sale by phone Wednesday, July 2 at 9:00 AM for Robinson Film Center Supporting Cast members and at 1:00 PM for the general public. To order tickets, call Kim Sizemore at (318) 459-4124. No tickets will be sold prior to Wednesday.
