ZOMBIE WEEKEND: October 9-11
Three Nights of Zombie-Themed Fun for a Good Cause!

Zombie Weekend at the RFC has arrived, featuring three nights of classic zombie horror on the big screen as well as hilarious, zombie-themed pre-shows before the films, a non-perishable food drive benefiting the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank, a zombie book fair courtesy of Barnes & Noble, and more. Films include Dawn of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead and the original Night of the Living Dead. For a full list of screenings and activities, visit our website.

Why a zombie weekend? We were inspired by the Shreveport Zombie Walk, scheduled for Sunday, October 11 at 4:00 PM at Mall St. Vincent. Come with a non-perishable food donation for the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank, dressed as a zombie (non-zombie spectators are also allowed!), and shamble through Mall St. Vincent!

COLD SOULS
October 9-15, One Week Only Starring Paul Giamatti, Emily Watson, David Strathairn
1 Hour, 41 Minutes - Comedy/Drama, In English

In the surreal comedy Cold Souls, Paul Giamatti plays an actor named Paul Giamatti. Stumbling upon an article about a company that extracts and stores people's souls, Paul might have found the key to happiness for which he's been searching. But complications arise when his soul disappears from storage. Giamatti's journey takes him to Russia in hopes of retrieving his stolen soul from an ambitious but talentless soap-opera actress.
"For all its quirks and laughs, there's something in this comedy you haven't seen in many others this year: a soul."-Stephen Whitty, Newark Star-Ledger

BRIGHT STAR
Continues thru October 15 Starring Abbie Cornish and Ben Whishaw
Nominated: 2009 Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or (Top Prize)
Written and Directed by Oscar-winner Jane Campion (The Piano)
2 Hours - Romance, In English

Bright Star is the story of the secret love affair between 19th century romantic poet, John Keats, and the girl next door, Fanny Brawne, an outspoken student of fashion. Their passionate relationship inspired many of his greatest poems, despite their vastly different social backgrounds and the disapproval of their friends and family. An early contender for awards season accolades.
"With its gorgeously framed shots and superb craftsmanship, Bright Star is a thing of beauty." -Claudia Puig, USA Today
