Times movie industry reporter Alexandyr Kent will host a free screening and discussion of Silent Treatment, a new film by Shreveport native Jon Rothell. The film is a short, silent, black and white comedy filmed in Shreveport using local talent. A clever and inventive screenplay is brought to life by some our area's most talented cast and crew, all set to an original score by Kermit Poling. The entire program, including a post-screening Q&A with cast and crew, should last approximately 30 minutes.

The Robinson Film Center's Silver Screenings senior matinee program continues on Tuesday, June 23 with the classic James Dean film Rebel without a Cause. The film will play at 10:30 AM and will be followed by a seated luncheon for seniors. Advance tickets are required and may be purchased by calling (318) 459-4122. In a Silver Screenings first, the film screening will be preceded by a vintage 1950's movie theater newsreel, a walk down movie memory lane!
